Four Days in Seoul, S. Korea

I had the luxury of visiting Seoul in the Republic of Korea.  Yes, of course, it’s in South Korea.  I flew out with American Airlines and landed in Seoul on the 20th of July.  I had many things on my mind since I’ve lived in [Korea Town] in NYC for the past 5 years or so.

My first day there I went thru Insa-dong area because I had to visit the O’Sulloc Tea House. This was located on a very fashionable street, full of shops and restaurants.  What a great place to start.  Here I was able to do a little shopping.  I bought tea, red ginseng extract, t-shirts, magnets, and way too many bars of soap.  This is a must-see area of Seoul.  I also met a few high school girls up early interviewing random people on their thoughts of education.  *See pic below*

Seoul has a reputation for their partying.  I did visit the famous Octagon Club.  Although, I didn’t stay long, I could see why people love it.  I spent a little time in the Itaewon district, but I thought it was a little too grungy for my taste.  Gangnam Style.  Now we’ve found my zone.  My last full day I did more shopping in the Gangnam zone.  It has the only Assouline store in the entire Asian region.  I also found my new favorite coffee shop, Coffee Jiin.

This zone is crawling with high-end luxury shops including a fantastic display at Hermes.  In the evening, it turns into the hottest area of the city.  On my final evening, I bar hopped.  I popped into; D-Bridge, and Monkey Museum.  What a blast.
